In
May 1969, Jackson La Baer, a practicing attorney seeking a means to
personally express his artistic abilities, opened The Clotherie to
establish a men's store that would provide avant garde fashions in an
environment that made shopping for cloths fun and recreational.
Over the ensuing years, the store evolved into a total wardrobe
specialty shop for men who wanted a level of quality and international
sophistication that would enable them to feel well dressed any place in
the world. Almost 17 years ago, La Baer was joined by Greg
Eveloff as a co-principal and stockholder. Eveloff had originally
associated with the firm as a wardrobe consultant and assistant manager
in 1977 and remained with the firm from that time on, contributing
significantly to its success and development. Today, The
Clotherie provides total wardrobe from underwear to outerwear; from
at-home relaxed apparel to casual sportswear and elegant sportswear;
from business day wear to evening wear; and formal wear as well as
footwear, all for the executive and professional man. The company
is successful because of its more than 30 years of focusing on the
wants and needs of its executive and professional clientele; and by
offering a consistent high-fashion and taste level, a thoughtfully
edited selection of unique and appropriate styles, superb quality,
intrinsic value and dedication to personal, friendly service.
Also fundamental at The Clotherie is expert tailoring, attention to
detail, all offered with genuine and sincere caring in a fun
atmosphere.
